- Alpaca is soft but it sheds fibres! This is why we recommend washing it by hand and drying flat.
- If you see little bobbles appearing for the first time, then it has pilled. You can use a soft-bristled clothes brush and delicately brush the jumper/sweater in the direction of the nap, or you can cut off the bobbles with nail scissors or shave them off with a razor.
- To prevent shedding, you can put the garment in a plastic bag and place it in the freezer for 2 hours or leave in the fridge overnight. The cold freezes the wool fibres and will help prevent shedding.
