Velvet Crystal Button Detail Midi Dress

Halterneck silhouette with a structured collar - an unexpected pairing that gives the bodice a sharp, tailored edge while keeping the back open and elegant. Crystal-embellished buttons run down the centre front, catching the light with just enough sparkle to read as jewellery in their own right. A wide contrast waistband sits at the natural waist, drawing the eye in before the skirt releases into full, sweeping pleats that move beautifully with every step. Velvet flocking across the body gives the surface a rich, deep texture with a softness that drapes and holds its shape in equal measure. Midi length - approximately 140cm - strikes the ideal balance for formal occasions, sophisticated enough for black-tie without demanding a floor-length commitment. A black-tie dinner, a winter wedding, an awards evening - this is a dress that holds its own in the most considered company. The velvet body carries real weight and presence, yet the full pleated skirt lifts and swings with each stride, so it never feels stiff or ceremonial. The open back, revealed the moment you turn, keeps the silhouette from reading as overly conservative despite the collar and covered arms. Style it as the model does: strappy heeled sandals that let the midi hem take centre stage, with hair swept up to expose the neckline fully. For jewellery, the crystal buttons do much of the work, so keep additions minimal - a single fine bracelet or slim earrings is all that's needed. A structured evening clutch and a tailored wrap coat complete the look for cooler evenings without competing with the drama already built into the cut.
