Square Padded High Neck Long Coat

Square quilted panelling runs in a precise grid from shoulder to hem, giving the coat a structured, architectural quality that sets it apart from standard padded outerwear. The high neck closes with a press-stud fastening, sitting close around the throat for serious cold-weather protection without the bulk of a scarf. A cinched waist tie interrupts the volume mid-section, allowing the coat to be worn loose and oversized or gathered in for a more defined silhouette - two distinct looks from one piece. Ribbed knit cuffs at the wrists seal in warmth and anchor the voluminous sleeves, keeping the overall shape intentional rather than shapeless. The longline cut falls to mid-calf, providing coverage that shorter padded styles simply cannot, making it a practical choice for the coldest months. A coat that earns its place on the coldest days of the season without requiring any compromise on how you look getting there. The longline silhouette works particularly well over tailored trousers or straight-leg leather trousers - as the model demonstrates here, pairing it with sleek knee-high boots that keep the look sharp beneath all that volume. The waist tie is worth using: drawn in gently, it shifts the proportions entirely, turning what reads as a statement outerwear piece into something with a far more considered, put-together line. Wear it open and belted loosely over a chunky roll-neck for weekend errands, or cinched neatly over wide-leg trousers for evening arrivals. The square quilting and high neck carry enough authority that the coat does the work - the rest of the outfit simply needs to hold its own beneath it.
