Additional information
Alpaca is soft but it sheds fibres! This is why we recommend washing it by hand and drying flat.
If you see little bobbles appearing for the first time, then it has pilled. You can use a soft-bristled clothes brush and delicately brush the jumper/sweater in the direction of the nap, or you can cut off the bobbles with nail scissors or shave them off with a razor.
To prevent shedding, you can put the garment in a plastic bag and place it in the freezer for 2 hours or leave in the fridge overnight. The cold freezes the wool fibres and will help prevent shedding.
